and my take on Nini's Weekly Creative Boost
I love the signs of Spring everywhere and having sun around more often. I am in love with Autumn but Spring has it’s charms too. Come to think about these two it kinda makes perfect sense.
In Spring we are all happy to have longer, warmer and colorful days again and in Autumn, it’s all about the cooling down, cosyness and different kind of colorful days. Summer is nice too but only if it’s not too hot lol. Never right eh? What’s your favourite season?
I’d like to share another finished image from Nini’s Weekly Creative Boost Series. Wow, it just struck me, this is becoming a SERIES now! Not only just a project, a collection to be, series of images based on specific instructions or lack of them :D I like this. I really do. The whole thing just got a totally new ring to it and I’m all excited now - jeez, took me a while lol.
OK, no more walkarounds, let me get back to Week 10 image. We were presented with this as our playground:
And I actually really loved the thing as it was but still, I noticed a creature right away so there was no other option but to render it. My print came out all stripe-y but I didn’t care. As long as the base was visible all was well with me :) Plus I played with my colored pencils which means being in this gooooood state of almost meditative coloring and only observing what is happening before my eyes. It is not always like this, but when it is, it’s perfection.
I so love this being of light. I don’t think it has a gender and I think it looks really bad-ass :D In a really really good way that is. What do you think?
I am curious about what would you draw if you had this to play with? Do let me know in the comments, I’d really love to know.
There was another thing that happened last week and that was, loosing interest in my small sketchbook and daily drawing in it. It became a chore I didn’t look forward to anymore. The paper is too thin and too small and I want to do completely different things. So I got myself off the hook and will start working on larger papers with much more time for each image. After all, it’s the only way to get to something more meaningful. At least to me in this moment in time. Who knows what changes in a while.
There’s a third thing cooking up but I’ll save it for my next week :)
I am wishing you a delightful week with lots of goodness coming your way and of course, lots of creative time too. If that’s what you crave of course. To each their own, right?
See ya next week!
With much love,
