Nina's Week 17
Looove the spring greens outside, it is sooo gorgeous when the sun is out. Loads of blooms too but I only have this photo from our neighborhood - yes, there’s this lovely forest really close by and I am ever so grateful I can go there whenever I want to. Do you spend time in nature too? I kind of have to, just as I have to be creative - if I don’t do any of these, I get in a really bad place vibe wise.
Sooo, although week 17 flew by loads happened in it too. The most important for me, was contacting the author of the ATC project because I had a question regarding digital works. Now, to me personally, a print cannot be an original since you can always print as many as you’d like and they all look the same BUT, I would consider it an original if it was printed just once and then the author would delete the file. Hehe, I know, sounds crazy but that’s how I feel about this. It’s the same with artworks, anything drawn by hand is an original and called a copy when you, well, make a copy :) And copies are not as precious as originals are.
Well, Mr. Vänçi told me, it’s ok to print ATC cards, and also make photocopies, as long as you don’t print/photocopy more than 5 and you clearly mark this on their backs (print/copy 1/5,..). I have now edited my previous post about ATC cards to include this change and am very happy to welcome digital artists to my ATC group too :) After all, it’s not my project and I am happy to play by the official rules.

Moving on to Nini’s Weekly Creative Boosts
I haven’t shared my findings with you for a while because I focused on the ATC and Oracle cards posts - and yes, there is still one post that needs to be published. I’ll make amends now and share what showed up for me in Week 16 and Week 17.
Week 16 looked perfect to me as it was but once I started I saw a lot of creatures in it and then the other dimension wanted to pay a visit too so…. one thing followed the other and I ended up with a mixture of graphite, watercolors and golden looking foil on my finished boost :)
With Week 17 it was kind of similar regarding the starting image being perfect (to me) as it was. But the trees appeared first and then some creatures and then I was just enjoying the coloring process and then leaves came in …
You can see a bit of a video from this piece in this short on my YT channel. I do like the result a lot as it’s really a fun and flowy one. And I managed to use gouache! Finally lol :D Go me hahaha.
I find these weekly boosts to be a perfect thing to get me aligned and filled with positive vibes and I know they can do the same for you. Try it out and test my theory :)
